2024/2025 Project Highlights:

Kitchen Remodel, Bathroom Remodel, Interior Painting, Interior Timber Framing, and Interior Finishing Work

In 2024 (and rolling strong into 2025), we tackled an awesome lineup of projects — everything from dreamy kitchen makeovers and spa-worthy bathroom remodels to cozy interior painting, rustic timber framing, and those finishing touches that make a house feel like home. We’re beyond grateful for every milestone and fired up for what’s coming next! Out of respect for our clients’ privacy, we can’t share every project, but here’s a peek at a few we’re proud to show off. Enjoy!

Timber Dreams,

Contractor Nightmares

Stepping onto the site of this timber frame dream home in Park County, our first thought was: "Wow, what a view!" Then quickly followed by, "Wait... six general contractors already?"

From contractors battling substance abuse, to ones simply in over their heads, to the heartbreaking loss of one to illness — this couple weathered more setbacks than most folks see in a lifetime. But through it all, they held onto their dream: blue skies, warm wood beams, and a place to finally exhale.

When we stepped in, we made one promise: the buck stops with us. We went step by step, bringing them into every conversation — sometimes too many late-night texts and photo updates — but always making sure they felt heard and in control. From the tiniest timber joint to the last screw in the deck railing, they were part of it all.

And now? Nothing but blue skies and fresh COs (certificates of occupancy). A long journey of missteps turned into a story of trust, patience, and finally — a home.

Rental-Ready Bathroom Rescue

Stepping into this master bath for the first time, our initial reaction was: "That’s... a lot of black mold." Followed by the obvious question: "Can anyone actually shower in here safely?"

From hidden leaks behind the walls to years of neglected caulking and surprise fungus blooms, this rental’s bathroom had turned from a “master” to a major liability. But for us, it was just another chance to do what we do best: step in, strip it down, and start fresh.

We kept it simple and practical — no marble accents or luxury soaking tubs here. Just a solid, clean, mold-free bathroom where tenants can start their day without worrying about spores or soft floors underfoot.

Fast forward past a few demolition surprises, some heavy-duty fans, and more trips to the dump than we care to count — and now? A safe, crisp, fully functional bath, ready for new renters to move in and enjoy.

From Florida Call to Colorado Fix

Sometimes, a random call pops up from a Florida number, and on the other end is someone stressed out because their iron gate — the one protecting their mountain home — just blew off in 80 mph winds.

In this case, that call meant heading up into the same high-country wind, no questions asked. It wasn’t a big, flashy project, but it meant a lot to them: getting that gate secured so they could feel safe again.

It turned into a fun mix of skills — some custom timber framing work with a Forstner bit to bore out clean, deep holes for 14" bolts, plus a bit of on-the-fly reframing and metal work to get everything solid again.

Not every job is a massive remodel or a dream timber home, but sometimes the small calls, the ones that come out of nowhere on a windy day, are the ones that matter most.

Pinto's "Double K" Ranch

Stepping onto the Pinto Project, our initial reaction was, "Whoa, that's a steep hill!" Then came the question: "Can you carve a driveway up its banks?" Yep, you guessed it, we still said to ourselves "that's a steep hill! - Fast forward through 400 cups of coffee, two snowstorms, a frozen fuel line, and a broken drivetrain—and the video capturing the joy of the couple and their dog says it all. Tackling 800 feet of a 7 percent grade, we're excitedly gearing up for framing the house in 2024.

Bathroom Bliss

The majority of our remodels center around bathrooms or kitchens – considering that, aside from the bedroom, these are the spaces where we spend the most time in our homes! When given the chance to turn a space built in the 80s into something unrecognizable, we eagerly embrace the challenge. Although this particular project ended up slightly exceeding the initial budget, it was due to some Change Orders requested by the homeowner once they saw the transformation underway. Needless to say, we stand firmly behind what we ultimately delivered.

While not every project boasts the generous funding of a Ski Resort 3rd Home Project, we understand the significance of a quality upgrade for homeowners. Whether it's guiding through the intricacies of demo and tile backer installation, fitting new cabinets, or attending to minute details, we recognize that not everyone possesses the expertise or those nifty tools typically found in a general contractor's belt. Regardless, we're here to assist families in making their dreams a reality, even if they're working within a budget.

Budget Kitchen

Converting a modest guest bathroom into a walk-in shower fit for any cowboy is truly one of our favorite endeavors. This particular family, residing in a ranch house, had a vision: "To be able to walk into the shower with our boots on and spray off the crud." True to their request, we brought their idea to life. Despite being a small project, the homeowner's active involvement made it special. At the end of the day, their gratitude summed it up with a simple "thank you kindly."

Butler Pantry

Small projects often surprise us with the most joy. When tasked with transforming a modest closet cupboard into something better, our response was a simple, "Let's see what we can do." A few minor alterations, a touch of custom shelving, and the rest is history. Not every project comes with a million-dollar budget—this one had almost nothing at all. Yet, we did what we do best, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary.

In the midst of med school, Kari faced a housing crisis while trying to sell her townhouse. The hurdle? A costly kitchen remodel. Frustrated and unable to find a contractor who understood her financial constraints and desire to be hands-on, Kari discovered us.

A connection clicked, and together, we navigated a budget-friendly remodel. Kari actively participated, reducing costs and gaining valuable experience. Beyond transforming her kitchen, we forged a lasting friendship. Join us in making dreams a reality with affordable, collaborative home transformations.
